Job Description

The Assoc Trans Svs Analyst 2 is a developing professional role. This role identifies policy and applies specialty knowledge in monitoring and assessing processes and data. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.

Responsibilities:

* Individuals in this job family are responsible for a multitude of services including but not limited to Treasury and Trade services, Securities, Cash, Trade, Lockbox, Derivatives, Fund Services, Foreign Exchange, etc. Trade Service includes opening and amending L/Cs, processing payments and interfacing with customers regarding issues to ensure smooth workflows.
* Complete the financial processing of the evidence / entries of the day-to-day ledger, control and process fees related to investment, custody and trust accounts and carry out cash transfers to simplify customer transactions
* Executing transactions, maintaining records, reconciliation and reviewing requirements for new products and services as well as technological requirements
* Carry out quality reviews to ensure that production systems publish the appropriate information and to facilitate customer reports to ensure their timeliness and accuracy, which includes regulatory / market requirements, new product presentations, migrations, brands, legal exemptions, etc.
* Identify and suggest process improvements
* Implements and validates process improvements for specific products
* Supports all operational processes as necessary; includes the procedures and controls for operational processes
* It performs according to compliance standards and departmental procedures to minimize losses
* Create custom reports and participate in ad hoc projects as defined by the supervisor
* Applies the good understanding of how the Transaction Services team interacts with others to meet the objectives of the area
* Apply the knowledge of the area of expertise to control, assess, analyze and / or evaluate processes and data
* Integrates the disciplinary knowledge established in the area of specialization with the basic understanding of the practices related to the industry
* Direct and limited impact on the business through the quality of the tasks / services provided
* Develop practical knowledge of industry practices and standards
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

* 0-2 years relevant experience
* Use communication skills to exchange information in a concise and logical manner, in addition to showing sensitivity to the diversity of audiences
* Basic experience in a role of Transaction Services (combination of education / experience)
* Excellent domain of Windows, MS Project and MS Office package
* Proven achievements as a member of a team

Education:

* Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

Job Overview

The Payment Engineering Analyst will be responsible for USD wire transfer static data & programming functions. Largely involved with innovation, Payment Engineering receives and executes payment project initiatives from a number of sources, Product management, CitiFT Technology, Client Services, external banking institutions such as SWIFT, CHIPS, and the Federal Reserve, and GPO itself. Payment Engineering is an interface between the business needs of the bank and the functional capabilities of the CitiFT application. Payment Engineering Analysts are the architects of complex CitiFT setups. Largely involved in data requests, Payment Engineering is responsible for writing queries and analyzing client data in order to address operational defects and identifying potential risk items.

Qualifications

Self-motivated, detail oriented, and a quick learner

Experience collaborating with the business to assess data for patterns and spot anomalies

Familiarity with large-scale data and querying ability

Highly proficient with Excel (formulas, filters, pivot tables & conditional formatting)

Highly proficient with Access (form and table knowledge, macro and query knowledge, ODBC Connection, import/export)

Database management & coding (SQL & Oracle)

A demonstrated history of delivering on initiatives by building broad based support, fostering collaboration and driving change

An ability to manage personal workload and agenda independently, but in alignment with the priorities of the business unit

Knowledge of Visual Basic, Citis infrastructure, payment flows and SWIFT is advantageous

Must be able to work occasional weekends
