Tribe Level Architect Role Definition

Summary:

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for defining the architecture of multiple systems and developing solutions in the tribe based on WFS predefined processes, guidelines and best practices to address business requirements.

Architect is accountable for the conversion of business need into architectures and designs. As a senior member of the architecture community you will lead the development of best practices, process improvement, and champion global architecture principles for all the squads within the tribe.

Responsibilities:

* Lead the identification, design, scope and development of technical solutions for enterprise applications and information systems.

* Lead multiple work streams to ensure design, build and implementation adheres to enterprise vision.

* Define and describe component stacks, integrations dependencies and data flows for technical and business users

* Work closely with Domain Architects to help align solutions with enterprise/domain-wide strategic technology direction.

* Partner with business functions, platform development and delivery teams and other architects to enhance existing applications or ensures new systems can integrate and seamlessly communicate with other applications.

* Demonstrates accountability, makes timely and appropriate decisions on programs and multiple domains.

* Develops partnerships and influences others both directly and indirectly.

* Collaborate with other technology teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient architectures that address customer business problems.

* Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions and ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment.

* Leads, mentors and coaches the work of other employees.

* Recommends policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization and shares best-practice knowledge amongst WFS solutions architect and technical lead community.

* Attend the Weekly Portfolio wall sessions.

* Advise functional and technology leaders to assist in key initiatives, and organizational alignment that supports making informed business decisions.

* Evaluate industry and technology trends, determine applicability to WFS and translate into WFS specific strategies, plans, models, principles, architectures and design.

* Assesses the value and impact of concepts and emerging technologies by leading assessments reviews and proofs- of-concept thru partnership with stakeholders across multiple domains and enterprise programs documenting outcomes and process.

* Manage program and architectural interdependencies between programs across multiple Squads and the enterprise.

* Facilitating the understanding and adoption of the solution architectures with the capability and service teams.

* Demonstrates accountability, makes timely and appropriate decisions on programs and multiple domains.

Experience and Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar careers.

* 8+ or more years experience designing and implementing distributed applications in a commercial environment

* 5+ years' experience establishing, building, testing and deploying the functional components of ERP systems/supporting applications

* 4+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking

* Experience with Cloud computing

* Preferred Understanding of key AGILE concepts and/or experience with leading or operating in an AGILE environment.

* Experience working on a Large Enterprise application, decoupling applications leveraging loosely coupled framework

* Preferred Experience with Oracle EBS (11i, 12, Fusion) or any other ERP

* Preferred Knowledge of and/or experience in designing solutions using the following technologies:

* Integration and APIs (REST, Java Springboot, Mulesoft)

* Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing (Snowflake)

* Digital Content Management (Box, ABBYY, AWS)

* Robotic Process Automation (UIPath)

* Security (MFA, Auth0, OAuth2)

* MicroServices Architecture and MicroFrontends (Angular, REST, Java)
