Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Department: Food & Beverage Americas Finance

Location: Sandy Springs, GA (NorthPark)
The opportunity:

Food & Beverage Americas Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a highly visible role that provides key financial reporting and analysis. This role requires analytical skills to assist leadership in forecasting a 24-month view of the business, developing dashboards, reports, and actionable analysis on key items. This role will also focus on supporting the development of standard business processes for the divisional finance function and identifying risks and opportunities. This position will have responsibility for maintaining and strengthening relationships with local operations teams, customer service, quality, pricing, and sales to ensure accurate and timely reporting and benchmarking of productivity, margin enhancement, and ad-hoc data. Additionally, this position will be involved in consolidating global results and capital for the Food & Beverage Global organization.

How you will impact WestRock:

* Play a key role in supporting operational leaders and their teams across Food & Beverage Global with financial and strategic analysis for specific manufacturing plants with full financial oversight.
* Support overall divisional reporting and analytics capabilities as deemed necessary. This will include both ad hoc analysis and monthly deliverables with focuses on key P&L categories, customer profitability, and plant performance.
* Enable financial performance growth through analysis of operational and financial data.
* Participate in the capital planning process with consolidation of submitted projects, development of IRR, establishment of financial forecast projections, and project cash forecasting. Assist with all Business Unit CPERF economic analysis and maintaining modeling consistency (i.e., a standardized approach to calculating financial performance). This position will also develop and manage a project planning calendar along with presentation materials. Track the capital development and approval process with a specific emphasis on approval and expediting installation of all capital projects. Global capital support will be a key component of this role.
* Generate models and financial review materials to support decisions by operational leadership and divisional finance with a focus on data driven analysis.
* Provide analysis of trends and forecasts with utilization of statistical forecasting models to recommend action and drive full P&L forecasting accuracy.
* Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process in development of supply and demand data along with graphical presentations and dashboards to assist in developing decisions and future strategies.
* Prepare monthly financial reporting for leadership including P&L variance & plant profitability analyses. Analyze and prepare end-market and customer reporting including volume/price and profitability variance analysis.
* Provide analytical support for key manufacturing metrics including Performance Excellence, net waste, returns & allowances, machine performance, labor efficiency, capacity, headcount, safety, etc. Identify gaps and/or under-performance trends.
* Work with green belt leaders to track savings targets of Six Sigma projects. Collaborate with the operational leaders and Six Sigma teams on kaizens and operational audits.

What you need to succeed:

* Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
* 4-7 years of experience in corporate finance (ideally with some accounting).
* Advanced level Microsoft Excel and strong PowerPoint experience preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate and present to all levels of operations and leadership.
* Customer service / continuous improvement mindset.
* Self-starter and independent thinker with strong technical and financial experience, with ability to understand complex data, leverage economic analytics, evaluate costs and other business intelligence capabilities.
* Team player with the ability to work independently, balancing routine responsibilities with ad hoc requests.
* Sound business judgment and strong attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to work well under tight time constraints and highly organized.
