As a Sr. Electrical Systems Engineer for WDs Real Estate Operations (REO) engineering team at the Fremont high-tech Manufacturing and R&D Campus, you will provide technical leadership and guidance for electrical systems infrastructure planning and installations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Electrical, and Controls systems engineering.

* Investigate internal customer requirements and prepare preliminary engineering drawings and specifications.

* Conduct technical assessments of site equipment efficiency, capacity and reliability. Evaluations should include life cycle cost calculation.

* Project Manager and Engineer role for facilities capital projects, overseeing all aspects and disciplines of work with full compliance of safety and building codes. Manage the design and construction meetings for your projects.

* Plan and execute new projects including ROM estimates, capital justification packages, RFQ and scope of work documents, bid evaluations, contractor selection, schedule creation and construction administration.

* Maintain close communications with the Site Maintenance and Operations team.

* Generate long-term strategic plan for factory support electrical systems based on capacity, capability, and expansion projections.

* Monitor and control the performance, capacity, and uptime of electrical equipment serving critical facilities infrastructure systems.

REQUIRED:

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, PE license preferred.
* 5+ years of professional experience in the field of Facilities Engineering.

* Experience with high-tech electronic or semiconductor manufacturing facility, or other high availability type of facility with large industrial systems supporting critical 24x7 operations.

* Working knowledge of clean-room design and operations.

* MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and AutoCAD skills.

PREFERRED:

* Complete knowledge of Facilities electrical equipment such as Unit Sub Stations, Motor Control Centers, Distribution Panels, Emergency Generators/UPS, VFDs, Motors, and fire alarm, emergency lighting, power distribution, grounding, and battery storage systems

* Prepare equipment specifications and procurement contracts and be familiar with current code requirements, and industry practices

* Provide leadership in multi-discipline project teams, responsible for design integration, and coordinating the development of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates

* Perform failure analysis and provide corrective actions.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Position requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent coordination, communication and people skills.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all level of the organization

* Knowledge of electrical systems modelling software SKM.
