Job Description

The Network Program Manager is responsible for the successful program design, compliance with network requirements, network assessment and selection, and program/product implementation. This includes enterprise-wide Clinically Integrated Network teams that focus on specific clinical area Lines of Service Behavioral Health (Mental Health and Substance Abuse) to improve the quality and affordability through improvements in appropriateness and effectiveness. Network Program Managers may perform network analysis and strategy development and implementation; obtain data, verify validity of data, and analyze data as required, and analyze network availability and access. Other responsibilities may also include making recommendations regarding use, expansion, selection of networks for various products based on that analysis. Network development is the training of Network Providers to train on process and treatment philosophies. The network program manager will be working closely working with the behavioral health provider relations team, the recovery and resiliency team, the Medicaid program manager and clinical field workers.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Training and educating Medicaid Provider Network, focusing on behavioral health
* Development of training and educational materials
* Facilitate, manage and present large trainings (auditorium, WebEx and/or other platforms)
* Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
* Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.
* Participate in the development of business strategy
* Develop and manage business plans to achieve objectives
* Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives
* Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
* Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches.
* May have segment - wide impact
* Direct cross - functional and/or cross-segment teams
* Collaborates with Behavioral Health Provider Relations Department and claims reciliation staff to include provider networking, training, contracts, negotiations, outreach, strategies, etc.
* This position directly reports to the Executive Director of Behavioral Healthcare Options...the behavioral health department within Health Plan of Nevada
* 50% - 75% travel required locally

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others)
* Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with various levels of leadership

Required Qualifications:

* Master's Degree, clinically licensed in the state of Nevada in field of Behavioral Health (i.e. LCSW, LMFT, RN with behavioral health experience, etc.)
* 2 years' experience with Provider Relations and Network
* 2 years' experience with Provider Education and Training
* 1-year experience working with a managed care organization, health insurer, or consultant in a network management / contract management role, such as contracting, provider services, etc.
* Intermediate level of proficiency with all physician / facility
* Advanced experience developing PowerPoint presentations and intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
* Must live within commutable distance of the location listed for this specific career opportunity
* You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations.
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.

Preferred Requirements:

* Project management or project lead experience
* Behavioral Health Experience
* Intermediate level of proficiency with all ancillary contract reimbursement methodologies
