As a Senior Business Analyst, in the Optum Payer Services Client Delivery area you will work on the implementation and onboarding of clients for Payment Integrity, Risk Adjustment, STARS and HEDIS services and products.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Work with Implementation team to understand the Client and plan for the Implementation
* Analyze the Client contract and work with Client and internal teams to understand, document and manage business requirements for clients being implemented for Risk Adjustment and Quality Solutions (pre - sale thru operational deployment)
* Work with implementation, technical and business teams to develop, document and approve custom solutions
* Create tools (workbooks, questionnaires, workflows) to assist in the gathering of requirements for existing and new solutions
* Create a library of documentation that can be utilized and leveraged for standard implementation situations and configurations
* Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data
* Review the analysis and interpretation of others work
* Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
* Support short and long term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
* Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes
* Develop, document and implement effective/strategic solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes, including requirements gathering and workflow creation
* Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
* Interact with and manage the expectations of clients
* Understand healthcare data and analytics
* Navigate a challenging matrix environment, lead multi-faceted and multi-functional teams with ability to problem solve and lead and motivate others in problem resolution
* Develop innovative approaches
* Lead business and technical discussions
* Manage and understand business and technical solutions

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, related field or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of experience in business analysis, gathering, documenting and managing business requirements and utilizing industry standard tools and templates
* 5+ years of experience creating test plans, coordinating testing, writing test scenarios and reporting on test progress along with defect resolution
* Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
* Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
* Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally
* Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data

Preferred Qualifications:

* Relationship building experience
* Ability to assess impacts and make recommendations and/or decisions in a complex environment
* Ability to manage and drive decision making across the matrix
* Visio, MS Project and SharePoint experience
* Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
* Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
