The Drug File Administrator position combines the utilization of information provided by the Drug File Compendia, and knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry along with processes, in order to maintain the Drug File that is used by OptumRx. The position includes the opportunity as a Subject Matter Expert to interact with internal and external contacts.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Review and evaluate reports generated pursuant to drug file loads or other initiated processes, for routine maintenance based on requirements
* Become familiar with all essential processes and identify areas where processes can be improved
* Communicate with Industry Relations, the Formulary Teams, Clinical Account Managers, IT and other departments within the company, as necessary
* Provide information as necessary to appropriate internal and external contacts regarding the Compendia's Technical Bulletins or general drug file announcements
* Conduct research to provide information in order to respond to drug file inquiries
* Subject Matter Expert for how the Drug File is used within OptumRx's various systems
* Identify and recommend improvements that will sustain the continuous growth of the department
* Participate in and/or lead projects related to OptumRx or customer specific drug file projects, including user testing
* Ability to work independently and understand connection between coding and system processes
* Perform other duties as necessary to meet the objectives of OptumRx and supporting clients and/or Center of Excellence (COE) objectives

Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma or higher education
* Certified Pharmacy Technician
* 3+ years of experience with Medi-Span's Master Drug Database
* 3+ years of experience with prescription benefit, formulary and clinical program design.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule if required due to changes in business requirements
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred qualifications:

* Ability to use Microsoft Access and/or perform SQL queries a plus
* Ability to create and perform analysis for database updating and management
* Ability to clearly and effectively organize, display and present data to internal staff
* Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Strong customer service orientation and commitment to professionalism
* A good understanding of how RxClaim works
* Prior experience with creating reports and analyzing information

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000.
