Primary Responsibilities:

* Lay down foundational components for Link's journey to Public cloud and extend on the current components of the Link platform.
* Drive the inception, adoption and implementation of cutting-edge technologies, best design concepts and quality principles across Link and beyond
* Drive implementation/strategy for Link Hybrid API Gateway strategy, Migration to Azure, Portal Designer, Policy Driven Access Control at API Gateway level, Identity Management & Federation in the IAM space
* Interact and solution for different clients offering technology driven solutions for their business needs
* Extend and demonstrate their mettle beyond Link by contributing to larger Provider engineering and Optum Insight group, and working and contributing on initiatives that are crucial to success of the organization
* Provide mentorship and technical guidance across the whole Link team including Ops.
* Make sure the technical roadmap and implementation is in alignment with business strategy.
* Be at forefront of technology innovation and on the lookout for opportunities to spread their knowledge and actively engage with the broader Optum community (through Teams channels) to increase productivity and create collaborative relationships

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in Software engineering
* Full stack engineer experience using Java, React/Angular, and Spring Boot
* Experience with Groovy and Microservices-based / REST APIs architecture
* Experience with CI/CD workflows
* Experience with Containers and Container orchestration such as Kubernetes/Docker
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
* Understanding of API Gateways
* Understanding of Identity and Access Management Concepts
* Experience in migration to Public cloud and expertise on one or more cloud providers
