As an Associate Technical Support Analyst with Optum/Wellmed, you will work as a part of the Desktop Services team, providing both remote and on-site technical support to several sites located throughout the Houston, TX area. You'll be working on incident management response and restoration; determination of issue priority, provisioning, and service request fulfillment; installations, upgrades, and releases/deployments; and problem management analysis and resolution.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide Level 2, Desktop Support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktop, laptop and tablet computers

* Use remote control tools to assist off-site users when needed

* Configure, deliver, and install new computers and peripherals for new hires

* Provide detailed and accurate documentation on incidents and service requests worked within ticket tracking system

* Prioritize workload based on service level agreements

* Act as a technical resource to others to resolve problems or issues

* Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions

* Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet established objectives

Working Schedule: This is a full-time position with standard working hours of M-F/ 8-5, with a possibility of overtime or occasional off-hours.

Required Qualifications:

* 4+ years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician
* High School Diploma / GED
* 4+ years of experience with PC operating systems
* 4+ years of experience in a customer service role
* 4+ years of Technology Support experience
* 4+ years of experience with MS Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Must have reliable transportation
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of computers or other IT equipment
* You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location.
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or higher
* CompTIA A+ Certification
* Experience with Networking Principles, Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP), Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
