SUMMARY:

The expectation of this position is to staff and retain personnel for the Pedigree Complex to achieve business and regulatory requirement. Essential functions of this position are: provide candidates to meet staffing needs; to manage employee relations; achieve and maintain company policy and federal and state regulatory compliance; develop and maintain effective and qualified team members; and perform administrative duties as assigned. The competencies essential to this position include functional technical drive for results planning managing measuring work time management building effective teams ethics values motivating directing others conflict management written communication developing self-others and verbal communication.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Education: BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

Experience: 2-4 years previous HR experience working in an HR business partner environment preferred 1 plus years previous work experience; previous HR experience a plus.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals using available computer programs.

Travel: Travel domestically approximately two 2 to four 4 trips per year.

Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks and birds .

The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in all Cobb Farm Hatcheries Biosecurity Standards.

Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment: Safety goggles rubber boots and gloves and earplugs will be used as needed.

During the current Pandemic (2020), all Team Members will be required to wear company issued facial coverings. Training will be provided to each Team Member specific to their job and their facility location in addition to signing an acknowledgement form they understand these expectations.

It is considered an essential function of each job for a Team Member to wear the company issued facial coverings. If a Team Member indicates they will not wear the mask, they will not be considered for the position in which they are applying or any position that requires the facial covering. If a Team Member has a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing the mask, Cobb will engage in an interactive process to determine whether a reasonable accommodation can be provided that addresses the safety concerns associated with the Pandemic and allow the Team Member to perform the essential functions of the job.
