SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing four basic goals: safety, downtime, budget and overtime. Other duties include: completing work orders and preventative maintenance; supervising designated maintenance/production crew; ensuring tracking of budgets and product quality; scheduling maintenance crews and production orders; being responsible for logs and record keeping of safety for maintenance department. The position will involve trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of Frozen Block grinders, Final grinders, Blenders, Augers and Conveyors. This position will all need a working knowledge of Vemag portion control equipment, Tray Denesting equipment, Omori over wrap equipment, Delford weight price labelers, Ulma Bag sealers, Pearson tapers, Bizzerba labelers, and various other industrial equipment. This position will also be responsible for the growth of their team and show continuous improvement within the department. Other responsibilities include ensuring OSHA and other state and local government standards and programs are being implemented, instructing in the use of personal protective equipment, implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility, and performing any additional assignments deemed appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
Experience: 3+ years' general maintenance experience; strong electrical and mechanical skills required. Experience in Industrial Maintenance and supervision is a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels.
Travel: Some travel may be required for training purposes.
This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility, therefore, they will be considered for the opening first. If none of those local Team Members are selected then other Team Members from other locations will be given consideration.
