This position starts at $12.00/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift. We have open positions for second shift.

Job Description:

The Packager I job consists of a wide variety of responsibilities. This person must be able to keep up with the speed of production, must be able to tolerate temperature extremes from 30 to 55 degrees. They must be able to follow simple instructions with minimal supervision. They must be able to operate re-pack dump system. They must be responsible for minimal paper work. At times they do an inspection job looking for plastic, metal, wood, etc. They also must be able to read and understand the product specifications. During times of low production these team members may be required to fill in for the all departments as needed. All of the duties of the Packager I position would also be required of this person, as well as, other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands of the Job:

Bending: Torso flexion of 0-90 degrees necessary when hand stacking product boxes.

Lifting: Team members are responsible for listing boxes of finished product that can weigh up to 40 lbs at a high rate of speed. They must be able to lift Chep pallets weighing 80 lbs.

Pushing/Pulling: Rapid repetitive pulling motion is necessary while removing/rotating bags from conveyor system. This is done for 20-30 minutes per rotation.

Reaching: Reaching from 24 to 36 is necessary to retrieve bags from conveyor. Reaching motion is occasionally necessary when lifting 5 lb. bags out of combos.

Grasping: A bilateral finger grasp is used when performing this job.

Standing: The team members stand on brick flooring and metal grating.

Work Duty: Use of both hands is required when performing this job. The room temperature varies from 30-55 degrees, and at times there could be wet conditions. Team members are encouraged to dress appropriately before arriving at their work station.
