This position starts at $14.52/hr. with a shift increase for third shift and potential for overtime. We have open positions for third shift.

The essential function of a Sanitation Worker is to clean and sanitize food manufacturing equipment, facilities and utensils, using chemical products.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleans and sanitizes food processing equipment and facilities; clean grounds, trash disposal, chemical dispensing, clean around plant as necessary; follows Tyson/USDA sanitation/safety specifications & requirements. Wears required PPE. Works in temperatures of extreme hot/cold, high humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces, some above ground level elevated surfaces. Handle chemicals as prepared by the Operational Specialist; identifies, reports, communicates areas, equipment and other related items requiring non-routine attention. Fills all dispensers, foamers, and hairnets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possesses ability to: follow written and verbal instructions, communicate with others, and document information; sufficient mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers & fractions; sufficient knowledge of standard weights & measures to utilize appropriate equipment. Must have sufficient physical abilities to access equipment, work on slippery, uneven surfaces, reach, grasp, grip, push, pull, lift, bend, stand, stoop, work at heights of up to approximately 30 feet. Must posses adequate near, far, and color vision as well as depth perception.
