Job Description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including, but not limited to, production paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem solving, etc. Accountable for areas of performance, safety, quality, workers compensation, turnover, bid movement, Team Member morale, and other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1 plus years experience in a supervisory role. Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification a plus, understanding of basic HACCP principals, and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification; knowledge of evisceration a plus.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders, stairs, steps, etc., able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 28 - 45 degrees.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management.

Special Skills: Team leader, problem solving, and motivation to take on special projects.

Supervisory: Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisors, department production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification, schedules, and overseeing safety committee; includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop, improve deficient areas. Travel: Some travel required as needed.
