Job Purpose/Summary:

This position will act as liaison between Plant Maintenance and the Group Manufacturing Director. The position must be able to provide technical support to the organization, including Maintenance management, technical staff and Manufacturing resources. The position must be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, effectively manage through stressful situations, and consistently make effective, high quality decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Complete adherence to the Maintenance Process, including specific KPI metrics such as Downtime, Cost/Spend, Turnover and Schedule Adherence
* Communication conduit for support groups (Engineering, Human Resources, Procurement and Vendors)
* Temporarily backfill open Maintenance Manager positions within the group.
* Assist in developing clear succession plans and staffing requirements for the group facilities.
* Assists in the development of project concepts into quantitative and qualitative proposals consisting of preliminary building specifications and layouts, utility services, and viable alternatives for plant specific projects.
* Helps to develop and support technical training for supervision and maintenance personnel on proper operating procedures, safety considerations, devices and preventive maintenance requirements.
* Lead problem solving and Blitz activities at various facilities. Potentially simultaneously as needed.
* Responsible for oversight and technical support to facility managed capital projects.
* Foster an environment focused on predictive maintenance throughout the maintenance organization.
* Continuous development of strategic facility and maintenance strategies associated with group manufacturing facilities
* Develop and provide technical maintenance support systems and processes.
* Develop, implement and share best practices across the enterprise.
* Assist in manufacturing strategic planning.
* Support MRO inventory processes and create a system around critical spare part management
* Provides managerial oversight and technical guidance to facility-based maintenance staff.
* Responsible for safe and efficient operation of plant maintenance and manufacturing systems.

This position is the senior-most maintenance-specific position in the prepared foods network and must ensure compliance at the facility to policies, standards, specifications, and practices that support and enhance the companys objectives. This position must interact with a broad section of the industry.

This position must be able to operate at a peer influence level of the plant manager. The owner of this position must completely own the process and subsequent results related to respective maintenance organizations within the group facilities.

Directional oversight of plant maintenance spend/cost analysis. AOP Budget development and oversight for group facilities.

Assist plant Maintenance Managers in creating AOP and LRP Capital plans

REQUIREMENTS:

* 8+ years proven leadership in maintenance or engineering
* BS in engineering or technical field strongly preferred
* Applicable Experience in Food Processing Industry Preferred.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

Must have knowledge of financial indicators / analysis and experienced in capital planning, fixed asset management and budget development / management. Basic personnel computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Power Point. Familiarity with Auto Cad.

Must possess excellent team building skills and be strong organizationally. Individual must be able to multi-task and handle strict time constraints. Candidate should be a proven manager of both processes and people.

* Have broad maintenance exposure and have worked with both engineering and maintenance organizations.
* Possess strong leadership skills marked by an ability to articulate ideas, delegate appropriately, set clear goals and drive accountability.
* Be a highly motivated professional able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Direct Reports: None

Indirect Reports:

Plant Maintenance Managers within the group.

Supervision Received:

Must have ability to work autonomously given specific organizational based objectives and functional strategies. Requires ability to function with director level direction and communicate broadly within facility locations and throughout functional organization.

Service Relationships:

Services both internal and external customers. Close working relationships with facility maintenance teams. Additional working relationships with Supply Chain functions including Engineering (specifically Director, Engineering & Maintenance) Operations, IPL, Food Safety, Safety & Environmental, Procurement and Continuous Improvement.

Approximate 50%+ travel required
