This position is responsible for operating machinery and maintaining product flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must be able to continuously push and move 400-pound tubs on a continuous basis. Lift up to 65 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds continuously. Lock out training is required. (Class certification done by Tyson Foods, Inc. Assist in resealing product that may have bad clip or puncture. Removing product from casing (if needed) and send it to be reprocessed. Inspecting product for any contaminates before reprocessing (ex: Metal or Casing). Properly disposing of any product that is deemed unfit for consumption (ex: product dropped to floor) Safety Equipment, Rules and GMPs must be used at all times.
Gathering and disposing of non-meat waste that is generated during production shift. Storing and disposing in designated containers and areas. Operating of different trash compactors. Separating recycles materials from common waste (ex: dirty plastics, wax papers and cardboard, meat casings, etc.).
Stand, walk, grab, bend, and lift 25lb up to 60lb. Must be willing to climb stairs. Work in a cold environment the entire shift. Must be willing to do repetitive work 8 to 10 hours a day. Must be willing to follow all GMP rules and regulation as well as all of Tyson Foods policies and procedures.
