The Maintenance Operations Specialist facilitates a multidisciplinary team to plan, schedule and execute robust equipment and facility maintenance, thereby increasing equipment availability and efficiency of the operation. This position requires verbal and written interaction with management levels up to and including the ELT.

Position Responsibilities:

* Establish and implement efficiency metrics for overall effectiveness of Maintenance and communicating those metrics with daily, weekly and monthly reporting (4DX, Metrics Report, Daily Critical Machine report to COE management, etc.).

* Strategically schedule maintenance work for multiple crews across all trades, functions and shifts, exercising discretion as needed to meet business priorities.

* Interface with external contractors and manage vendor relationships. Audit current activities to ensure work requests are worked appropriately by contractors.

* Identify parts to be ordered and coordinate the kitting of parts associated with certain work orders.

* Maintain data and information in the CMM system (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Including requisitions, work orders, schedules, manpower, cost, and completion percentages

* Collaborate with internal customers at varying levels of leadership across multiple business functions to ensure maintenance needs are being met.

* Coordinate with the parts inventory department for optimization of spare parts and components, advise min/max quantities, recommend vendor stocking of spares.

* Daily review of the work order backlog to assess critical machine issues and priorities, making decisions on work schedule and resources.

* Advise Facilities management and Production management with regard to priorities.

* Compile a daily schedule for each maintenance supervisor in the area. This schedule will show a full load for each crew and will be organized in such a manner as to minimize unproductive time.

* Lead a daily stand up meeting with the maintenance supervisors to review the schedule and make changes as needed.

* Periodically inspect completed work and advise supervisor of possible training needs.

* Review completed work orders for craftspersons comments and take additional action as necessary.

* Negotiate scheduled downtime with Production management to schedule equipment maintenance.

* Assemble ad hoc teams and facilitate Root Cause/Corrective Action for significant events or system failures.
