The Corporate Warranty Manager will oversee and continually improve the effectiveness of Tenneco's North American warranty system and its associated core processes, i.e., claim data analysis, debit management, contract review, part return analysis and lessons learned implementation. The position will manage and continually develop and enhance the skills of the regional warranty department, as well as ensure the establishment of cross-functional warranty teams for the effective and timely execution of the core warranty processes. Additionally, the warranty manager will be the SME for customer warranty knowledge within the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead the auditing and development of initiatives for satisfactory compliance, and enhancement of warranty management related requirements, e.g., CQI-14.
* Warranty Claim Data Management
* In conjunction with the global warranty data analytics team, ensure the acquisition, analysis and management of customer warranty claim data.
* Establish and lead reviews with cross-functional team members to address warranty claims along with providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage resulting items to timely closure and conduct adhoc statistical analysis as needed.
* Develop and communicate BU warranty council preparations.

Warranty Debit Management

* Establish customer contacts for warranty debits.
* Ensure that warranty debits are obtained, screened, communicated and processed in a timely
* Ensure warranty risks / liabilities are identified and communicated in a timely manner.

Warranty Parts Return Analysis

* Ensure that there is a customer contact for warranty part returns.
* Ensure that parts are analyzed in a timely manner and facilitate and/or reroute or escalate the analysis process when needed.
* Establish and lead reviews with cross-functional team members to address findings from analysis.
* Manage resulting items to timely closure, statistically validate countermeasures and prepare associated reports as needed

Warranty Contract Review & Technical Factor Establishment

* Be a core team member in the contractual review process for warranty terms and conditions.
* Prepare and present knowledge of existing 'like' programs and/or findings from problem solving efforts to assist in the disposition of proposed customer warranty terms and conditions.
* Lead the establishment of technical factors for assigned customer portfolio.
* Ensure technical factors are reflective of warranty performance in the field and continually monitor performance and corrective actions to continually mitigate liabilities and reduce technical factors.

Warranty Lessons Learned Implementation

* Ensure that lessons learned are distributed and read across pertinent products, processes, customers, and plants.
* Manage and ensure lessons are captured in controlled documents, e.g., control plans, FMEAs (Design and Process), operator instructions, design guidelines, etc.
* Participate in design reviews for all pertinent programs associated to their customer base and provide pertinent insight and lessons learned from a warranty perspective.

Required Experience

Education:

Bachelors Degree in engineering disciplines.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in warranty for a manufacturing company; automotive preferred

Prior experience in a management/supervisory role.
