The Digital Designer is responsible for ensuring brand alignment of email creative while building a customer relationship that inspires our email recipients to become and remain loyal Shop Your Way customers. In addition, this position will be asked to participate in researching and reporting on the availability of various new email creative strategies, trends, efficiencies, and innovations. Job Requirements JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acts as a key player in beginning start-up structure to future evolution and growth of the email team from a balance of simplicity and quality-focus.
Identifies, develops, and drives improvements to the design processes, tools and workflows
Reviews and drives improvement to overall email quality and structure
Identifies individual brand needs and identities to develop cohesive style guides, standards, processes, and promotional materials for the email channel
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree
18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Degree in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Web Design or similar, or the equivalent experience communicated via an online portfolio
A strong work ethic and passion for expanding and innovating email design
Passion for and broad knowledge of various genres of design and an ability to critically analyze email processes
A structured approach to work and ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to overcome truly unique design challenges
Ability to combine creative principles with promotional messaging to create best-in-class marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication that succinctly communicates intent
Ability to sift through feedback from all areas to determine necessary design goals to improve the product post-release
Able to work under pressure, managing multiple activities in an organized manner
Ability to work closely with all disciplines and be responsive to feedback
Strong analytical mentality and conceptual way of thinking
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Email experience not required but is a plus
Experience working with a medium-to-large design team a plus
