SCA - Electronics Technician Maintenance
We are currently recruiting highly qualified candidates, whose background and career goals meet our needs, for the following position in our Huntsville, AL facility. Please note that due to our Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
Position Title: SCA - Depot Electronics Test Technician
Shift: 1st
Position Overview:
Provides technical support to the Depot team primarily coordinating the repair, replacement and failure analysis of all product returns of complex electronic products.
Duties of Position:
* Assists engineering in development of test specifications, methods and procedures for a wide variety of legacy defense products.
* Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. Performs the set-up, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of specialized test equipment, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
* Routinely applies basic technical knowledge to perform tasks such as replacing subassemblies, troubleshooting simple to moderately complex circuits.
* Required to perform systematic test, teardown, and evaluation of assemblies in order to identify root cause of failures as well as identify proper corrective action for repair of failed components. Responsible for repair of field failure LRUs and SRUs down to the component level using work instructions, drawings and schematic/wiring diagrams.
* Required to perform functional test prior to and after repair.
Requirements:
* Must be capable of interpreting simple wiring and schematic diagrams as well as some experience with reading engineering drawings. Work is accomplished under close supervision receiving technical guidance from higher level technicians or supervision.
* Must be a US Citizen
* Minimum of 5 years directly related experience is required.
* 2 Year Technical Degree.
* High School diploma is required.
