RMD in Fullerton, CA, is seeking an experienced Radar Systems Engineer to join the Battlefield Radar (BFR) group to lead radar software requirements definition and system integration/test for the Sentinel radar product line. The candidate will have the responsibility to update data reduction tools as needed, and efficiently use the simulation and reduction tools to analyze past tracking data, characterize current tracking performance, identify issues, and recommend performance improvements. Some of these new functionalities are small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) detection in a clutter environment. The systems engineer will be accountable to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Engineer and Program Technical Directors.

Required Skills:
* Radar System performance analysis including analysis of recorded radar data with both Matlab and self-developed custom software with at least 6 years of experience
* Radar software development experience with specific expertise in real time radar software, simulation, and data reduction software development in C/C++ and Visual Basic with at least 2 years of experience
* Prior experience in radar system integration and test
* Prior radar algorithm design for acquisition, tracking, and clutter discrimination processes
* Prior radar requirements analysis, requirements specification, and design
* Outstanding team work, leadership, organization, communication, and leadership skills
* This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
* This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:
* Experience with developing radar processes for acquiring and tracking slow UAV's in clutter
* Radar modeling and simulation including algorithm and software development
* Development of simulation tools and test tools for radar analysis
* Ability to support periodic travel

Required Education:
* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics. Advanced Degree Preferred.
