We have an immediate opportunity for a Lead EO/IR System Engineer to support design, development, test, and verification of the ATFLIR ECP-45 Program in the Surveillance and Targeting Systems (STS) Product Family. The successful candidate will serve as a lead systems engineer on an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) business unit. The position consists of system engineering leadership on a complex (Electro Optic/Infra-Red) (EO/IR) subsystem update for the ATFLIR Product.

Specific duties include:
Leading a small systems engineering development team
Control Account Management (CAM) responsibility: planning, monitoring, and reporting on SE tasks using EVMS
Direct interface with USG customers on product design updates, technical reviews, and during qual./flight test events
Leading system development (requirements analysis, design, implementation, system integration, and qual./flight test)
Leading subsystem test planning, procedure development, test conduct, and analysis/reporting for env. qual./flight test
Working across engineering disciplines, program office, supply chain, & mission assurance to meet program objectives

*Required Skills:

Minimum 8 years of engineering and leadership experience on airborne electro-optical & infrared (EO/IR) systems including direct experience in DoD product design, development, integration, & environmental qualification/flight test activities
Proven written and oral communication skills, effective collaborator with other engineering/specialty disciplines
Experience working interface on technical and programmatic issues with suppliers, design engineers, customers, and end users
Must have or is able to obtain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Control Account Management (CAM) certification
Must be willing to travel for business as needed to support supplier visits, field test events, and customer program reviews
Must be a U.S. Citizen with active (or active within past 2 years ) DoD Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills:

Broad EO/IR engineering skill base including: electrical, systems, software, mechanical, and specialty engineering
Specific prior experience with the ATFLIR Pod and/or Multispectral Targeting System (MTS) or variants
Some experience as a Product Owner on an Agile-Development program for system software
Some prior involvement with the production and sustainment of Airborne EO/IR Systems
Some experience with Technical Supplier Management: SSOW preparation, technical evaluations, SDRL definition
Prior experience leading EO/IR requirements analysis, product design, subsystem integration & test, & qualification
Strong Risk & Opportunity skills for the identification, management, and mitigation of technical/programmatic risks
Active Top Secret Clearance

*Required Education B.S. in a related STEM discipline
