It is a vital link allowing Raytheon Secure Sensor Solutions (SSS) to introduce reliable new products faster, better and more economically. This position is for an electrical engineer to work in the Hardware Engineering Organization performing Analog RF Architecture Design. The person hired for this position will work on designs or upgrades based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. This entails working in integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications.

The SSS RNAV Electronics department has an immediate opportunity for a Principal RF Design Engineer. We have many new GPS programs ramping up that require RF Analog Engineers that can fill the following requirements.

Responsibilities will include:
The scope of work is to design/test/troubleshoot an RF circuit for a Receiver Module or similar application. The design includes architecture, simulation, schematic capture, peer reviews and then following the design through mentor graphics layout and finally lab integration and test.

Required Skills:
8 years experience designing and integrating RF systems, subsystems and/or RF modules, particularly for military receiver applications like anti-jam GPS or radar.
Receiver and exciter expertise with frequency planning experience
High-Speed (> 500 MHz) ADC, DAC and DDS selection and testing experience
Demonstrated expertise with Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, S-Parameters, and MATLAB
Ability to mentor others and work well on a dynamic team in a System Integration Lab or Test Lab on schedule critical deliveries
Strong RF, Analog and microwave subsystem/ Systems Engineer which can resolve production, test, and integration problems related to design issues; provide resolution for parts obsolescence; and support fielded systems
Experience in design, test, and troubleshoot of RF, digital and mixed signal circuits and systems in both a factory and lab setting
Experience with Mentor Graphics layout, ADS and HFSS simulation
Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, and frequency synthesizers.
Experience in Radar Receiver/Exciter integration, test, data reduction, and analysis of systems and sub-systems
