Job Description

The Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user.

WLE seeks an experienced Systems Engineer based out of Tucson, AZ. In this role, youll be responsible for executing and leading tasks in the areas of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Rapid Prototyping, Transition to Production, Augmented/Virtual Reality, and Technical Documentation.

Responsibilities may include the following:

* Managing, reporting and consolidating various data points to track trends that help inform leadership of Sustainment activity
* Presenting and participating in Program Reviews, external customer meetings and team status meetings
* Monitoring and prioritizing critical shipments for consumable materials, tools and/or spares for global deployment
* Leading the planning and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance events for systems deployed globally
* Leading the developing of ILS strategies for various programs as they transition from development or production into sustainment
* Development and maintenance of Technical documentation including:
* System functional theory
* Operations
* Preventative and corrective maintenance
* Schematics
* Illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports
* Drawings and parts lists
* Train-the-trainer courses
* Identification of required student Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs), and Programs of Instruction (POIs).
* Participation in IETM validation including customer conferences to ensure manuals conform to contract requirements, identification of supplier manual content requirements, budget and schedule compliance and the conduct of peer reviews.
* Development of illustrations, graphics and flow diagrams to support contract deliverable documentation
* Support the development of a technical data packages (TDP)
* Working with Augmented Reality and/or Virtual Reality technologies in support of end-user training and Warfighter simulations

Up to 10% to 15% domestic and international travel could be required for this role.

This position can be a Systems Engineer II or a Sr. Systems Engineer I based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, education and responsibility requirements for the position.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills

* 2+ years relevant experience in documentation, manufacturing, or immersive design
* At a Systems Engineer II level, 0+ years of experience in the aforementioned areas along with a relevant Master's Degree may be considered for this job.
* At a Sr. Systems Engineer I level, 2+ years of experience in the aforementioned areas
* US Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills

* Experience with the Agile development process/environment
* Experience building strong cross-functional organizational effectiveness, developing technical documentation and managing geographically dispersed organizations
* Demonstrated ability to exercise cultural sensitivity
* Experience with MS Office Suite and MS Project
* Experience with XML based IETM editors such as ArborText or Eagle Publishing System (EPS)
* Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Captivate
* Experience with augmented and/or virtual reality development
* Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain processes and procedures

Required Education

BS in a STEM discipline or BA in Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry or Physics.
