As a Publix Refrigeration Technician, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow your skills while working beside experienced technicians. This includes supporting the refrigeration operations and maintenance needs for rack refrigeration service requests for our retail stores through maintenance, repairs and requests.

Primary responsibilities include:

* evaluating and performing full rack refrigeration system repairs and maintenance, remote case repairs (non-hardware) and maintenance, and Energy Management System general maintenance and repairs on our retail facilities
* performing housekeeping duties, including:
* maintaining vehicle inventory
* maintaining vehicle cleanliness
* reconciling phone bills, credit card statements and other paperwork associated with the position
* responds to emergencies after normal working hours and weekends when needed
* visit stores and provides feedback information needed by coordinators and/or leadership

Required Qualifications
* high school diploma or its equivalent
* HVAC or Refrigeration Trade school completion or equivalent
* at least five (5) years of experience working in supermarket refrigeration service as a Hill Phoenix Gold certified technician OR at least three (3) years working in supermarket refrigeration service as a Hill Phoenix Platinum certified technician OR at least two (2) years as a Refrigeration Tech 2
* ability to read and interpret schematics involving integrated systems of electrical, EMS, mechanical, refrigeration and plumbing
* expert knowledge of refrigerant management usage; EPA Clean Air Act, understanding of various refrigerants and usage, etc.
* intermediate knowledge of computerized maintenance field service management systems
* intermediate knowledge of EMS and Case Controller Programming languages
* time management skills
* advanced knowledge in Food Safety
* ability to analyze information and data
* ability to communicate both verbally and in a written format
* interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a group of people
* willingness to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and to travel with overnight stays
* ability to lift/lower/climb ladders/walk on roofs
* must by 21 years of age
* must be able to have and maintain and excellent driving record

Preferred Qualifications
* at least seven (7) years of experience working in supermarket refrigeration service as a Hill Phoenix Gold certified technician OR at least five (5) years working in supermarket refrigeration service as a Hill Phoenix Platinum certified technician OR at least four (4) years as a Refrigeration Tech 2
* knowledge of Publix Retail store operations
