Department Overview

In Customer Care we are focused on delivering the desired customer experience for each of our customers. Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. That information is collected and managed by our Customer Experience Strategy group. Each of our organizations, though completely dependent upon each other, are the experts in their area and will further drive PG&Es alignment around the customer.

Position Summary

Manages existing databases, develops and sets up new databases. Ensures periodic database routines are completed per business requirements and failures are resolved within service level parameters. Creates queries to fulfill ad hoc data requests and reoccurring reports. Ensures data transferred between business information systems are timely and meet requirements. Represents the organization in IT business meetings to ensure organizational business requirement are met.

Job Responsibilities

* Manages, monitors, and modifies existing databases and creates new databases
* Identifies database related process improvements and develops solutions and implements, including the evaluation of new Salesforce technologies
* Communicates issues identified to Manager in a timely manner and resolves advanced issues
* Researches database issues, causes, proposing solutions and implements agreed upon solutions, with root cause prevention
* Takes customer business requirements and translates into advance queries, database formats and automates, as well as advances enhancements
* Manages small to mid-sized projects or initiatives
* Interprets business requirements for managers/stakeholders and recommends database solutions
* Reviews basic Salesforce security, such as record sharing, licensing models, new roles and profiles
* Analyzes, consolidates and tunes database for optimal efficiency
* Creates SOQL statements in SFDC Developer Console

Qualifications

Minimum:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent work experience
* 4 years of recent relevant database management or Salesforce Service and Sales Cloud experience
* Salesforce System Admin certification

Desired:

* 6 years of database management or equivalent Salesforce experience or equivalent Customer Energy Solutions Program management
* Database related project management experience
