Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is the combined team of Steelmaking Group Services (SMG), Digital Solutions, and Enterprise IT (ENT). The candidate must fully understand and demonstrate success in supporting of Nucors vision of Growing the Core, Expanding Beyond, and Living our Culture. This includes taking care of our customers through operational and commercial excellence, contributing to being the worlds safest steel company, and living each day with gratitude to those who make our work possible.
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
1. Supporting Nucors Digital initiatives, through the creation and delivery of deploying applications for external & internal customers that facilitate commercial excellence.
2. Identifying customer requirements
3. Participating in the creation of digital B2B & BI solutions
4. Capability of understanding business processes, database design and data consumption so that they can facilitate the flow of data and transactions to customers and internal users.
5. Ability to understand customer needs and facilitate the design of value creating processes and tools.
6. Ability to align business processes while engaging commercial teammates to drive Nucors digital strategy is an integral part of this position.
7. Knowledge in the Sheet Group business processes.
This is a fulltime, permanent position with the Nucor Business Technology Team. Teammate location may be based in Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX or any Nucor division with the agreement of that division. Travel will be required & can be up to 50%.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Proficient with steelmaking business process and/or computer systems
2. Direct experience with Nucors digital/commercial applications
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Microsoft Transact SQL knowledge
2. Sheet Group Sales/commercial or related experience
3. Working knowledge of Steelmaking processes from order to delivery
4. Understanding of relational databases.

This segment also engages in the piling distribution business. The Raw Materials segment produces direct reduced iron (DRI); processes ferrous and nonferrous metals; brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron, DRI, and hot briquetted iron; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal, as well as engages in the natural gas drilling operations. This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
The company offers its products through its in-house sales forces; and internal distribution and trading companies. The company was founded in 1940 and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
