SR. APPLICATION RELIABILITY ENGINEER

Role Summary:

The purpose of this role is to (1) Serve as a reliability engineer with a high level of autonomy to analyze, improve, and optimize the performance of production code and monitoring solutions for a cloud-based microservice application. This includes programming for chaos engineering, monitoring design, self-healing, and performance testing. (2) lead a shared application monitoring and experience ownership model between support, test-engineering, and development teams.

Technical Experience for Role:

* Advanced programming competency in NodeJS 14 and DotNetCore 3.1 / DotNet 5.0 code to optimize for end user experience
* Create automated, accurate monitoring solutions
* Identify and implement self-healing infrastructure
* Develop testing for applications including Unit, Functional, and End-To-End testing
* Develop Performance or Load tests to simulate user experience
* Work with external teams to generate solutions to add insight into app performance
* Debugging and Optimizing SQL (MySQL)
* Application Performance Monitoring tools (Jaeger / Kibana / New Relic / Dynatrace)
* Experience with GraphQL (GQL) services and GQL traceability
* Familiar with deploying containerized workflows using Kubernetes or similar technology.
* Familiar with Docker and Webservices.

Additional Skills a Plus:

* Existing Certifications or willingness to obtain AWS Cloud Certifications (associate or above)
* Existing Certifications or willingness to obtain Risk Certifications a plus (CCSP, CSSLP, CRISC, Security+)
* Continuous integration templating.
* Familiarity with OWASP Top 10.
* Familiarity with K6 Performance testing

This job is not covered by the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement.
