The GBSD program is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman rsquo;s Space System team supporting the Air Force rsquo;s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This will include development, production and deployment of Launch Equipment power hardware and systems for each weapon system facility. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

What You rsquo;ll Get To Do:

* Research, plan, design, analyze and test electrical power components, equipment, systems, and networks
* Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems
* Preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, design documents (drawings and specifications) and interface with customers.

This position rsquo;s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor 39;s of Science degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an accredited university with at least 5 years of relevant experience; OR 3 years with Master rsquo;s of Science Degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline from an accredited university; 0 years with a PhD.
* Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
* Experience designing and conducting analysis on power components and circuitry, creating schematics and physical layouts, and developing / performing verification plans, test procedures and verification metrics
* Experience preparing for and participating in design reviews

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience performing electrical power system load analyses, equipment selection and sizing, and system integration
* Experience managing a subcontractor
* Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
* Experience with power system analysis software
* Experience in ICBMs or Aerospace programs
