Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Program Quality Engineer T3/4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Woodland Hills, CA location. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman 39;s Space amp; Strategic Program Quality Engineering team that is engaged with cutting edge technology on a dynamic portfolio of products to meet our customer rsquo;s mission needs. The Program Quality Engineer leads a team of Quality Engineers, decomposes contract requirements, develops implementation plans, monitors and controls activity to ensure end to end program quality requirements are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Develops, modifies, implements and maintains quality plans for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
* Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and being met.
* Ensures all program quality requirements are met thru the program life cycle.
* Primary point of contact for program quality both internally and with the customer community.
* Identifies and reports on program status and manages cost to budget.
* Ensures that corrective measures are performed to completion, meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements.
* Represents the organization in finding solutions to difficult technical and contractual issues.
* Develops staffing and basis of estimate for new business proposals.
* Assures contractual work products are completed and delivered on-time.

Basic Qualifications for level 3:

* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in STEM Discipline
* 5+ years of related work experience (or a Master 39;s Degree with 3 years rsquo; work experience) in quality engineering or related role
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
* Have worked in an ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System Environment
* Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
* Proven ability to lead a team
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and oversight
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Basic Qualifications for level 4:

* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in STEM Discipline
* 9+ years of related work experience (or a Master 39;s Degree with 7 years rsquo; work experience) in quality engineering or related role
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
* Have worked in an ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System Environment
* Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
* Proven ability to lead a team
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and oversight
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience working in an environment delivering products for a Space environment
* Certification as a CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ)
* Experience with DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware would be a plus
* Software Quality Assurance skill set amp; experience with DO-178 would be a plus
* Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma, Green belt certification would be a plus
