We are seeking Principal/Senior Principal Engineer software candidates for our Space Division. The location for this role is in Dulles, VA and has alternate locations in Colorado Springs, CO and El Segundo, CA.

Candidates will be responsible for:

- Full stack development at the OS, platform, and mission unique software layer.

- Developing client and server applications and services using service oriented architectures, message bus based data exchange that include first-of-a-kind capabilities.

- Applications will spend languages and toolsets including C++, Qt, Python, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis execution and finding remediation.

- Developer will be expected to be a self-starter capable of making decision with overall project budget and schedule in mind.

This position may be offered at a Principal or Senior Principal Level depending on years of experience you bring.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications for Principal Level:

* 5+ Years with Bachelors in Software Engineering or closely related discipline (or 3 Years with Masters in Software Engineering or closely related discipline and 2 Years with PhD in Software Engineering or closely related discipline)

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Level:

* 9+ Years with Bachelors in Software Engineering or closely related discipline (or 5 Years with Masters in Software Engineering or closely related discipline and 5 Years with PhD in Software Engineering or closely related discipline)

Basic Qualifications for Both Levels:

* Experience supporting Agile programs including Agile DevOps

* Demonstrated experience in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring
* Significant experience with design, build, and deployment of software products
* Experience in producing software architecture documentation
* Experience with C++, Python, and Java
* US Citizenship is required
* An active TS SCI Clearance is required to start

Salary range for Colorado-based position: Principal: $92,000 to $138,000/ Senior Principal: $114,080 to $171,120

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
