Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Electrical Engineer. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grummans Space System team supporting the Air Forces Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This will include development, production and deployment of Launch Equipment Hardware and systems for each weapon system facility. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers.

This includes the following duties and responsibilities:

* Research, plan, design, analyze and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
* Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems
* Preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, design documents (drawings and specifications) and interface with customers.
* Interface with AF customer
* Conduct electrical power system load analyses
* Utilize power system assessment software to conduct arc flash analysis, coordinate circuit breakers, and analyze time current curves
* Develop panel schedules based on load and power information
* Coordinate distribution of electrical loads with a power system consisting of primary, standby, and emergency power sources

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic qualifications:

* Experience with performing electrical power system load analyses, equipment sizing, and system integration
* Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 9 years of relevant experience;
7 years with a Master's of Science degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline; 4 years with a PhD
* Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Active Top Secret Clearance
* Experience in ICBMs or Aerospace programs
* Experience with NX and Teamcenter
