The Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division of Northrop Grumman 39;s Space Systems sector seeks team members who want to solve interesting, complex problems which protect our nation. We are a trusted mission payload and ground system provider with extensive experience providing end-to-end mission solutions from concept through operations and support. The team you will support is located at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA.
What you rsquo;ll get to do?
As the Ground Systems Engineering/Site Installation Manager on this team, you will lead a large subcontract development and several internal team members. In this role, you will be performing against a highly compressed simultaneous integration and installation schedule at multiple worldwide locations.
Knowledge in the following areas is beneficial:
* IMS management
* Risk management
* Earned Value Management and cost account manager (CAM) experience
* Sub-contractor management
* SEIT best practices
* Export licensing
* Host site discussions/negotiations
* Site implementation plan development
* Construction of antenna site (civil works)
* Large aperture full motion antenna systems
* Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tailoring
* Software defined radios
* Familiarity with RF test equipment
* Sub-contractor factory acceptance test
* Networking
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor 39;s degree; 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters 39; degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
* Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access
* Ability to travel 25% to international and domestic sites
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of communication theory and experience with antenna systems
* Experience with ITAR and international agreements
