Description

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Manhattan Beach, CA., has five openings for Software Engineers supporting the Global Hawk program. The selected candidates designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; ensures software standards are met. The selected candidates will be part of small scrum teams executing in an agile development paradigm. Tasking will include development of new software modules as well as rework and maintenance of legacy baselines. There is an expectation that the candidates will be flexible in operating in a multi-disciplinary role completing development tasking as well as automated unit test tasking. Effort will also be required for participation in customer deomonstrations and user events.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or related degree and two years related software experience.

1-5 years of Windows development experience

.NET/C development experience

Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:
Top Secret clearance
