Northrop Grumman is seeking a GBSD Principal System Administrator. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.
What You rsquo;ll Get To Do:
bull; Recommends and implements system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading / patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
bull; Apply technical skills and experience in managing selected Windows servers and numerous workstations supporting highly skilled engineers that are remote or on site
bull; Designs, tests, and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products
bull; Ensures data integrity by evaluating, proposing, implementing and managing software and hardware solutions
bull; Analyzes internal or external customer needs and determines equipment/software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems
bull; Develops and documents technical processes and procedures as needed
bull; Recommends and implements system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration
bull; Ensures systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan
bull; Provide backup to various programs located at site
bull; Maintain and troubleshoot networks to include switches, routers, and firewalls.
bull; Develops customized solutions to customer/user problems. Establishes system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies user requirements in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
bull; Prepare security documentation for submission to regulatory agencies.
bull; Works under only general direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions
bull; Leads, coordinates and mentors sys admin teams

This position rsquo;s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification
You rsquo;ll Bring These Qualifications:
bull; Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical position supporting Windows server environments; or 3 years with a Master 39;s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related STEM degree. An additional 4 years of directly applicable experience may be considered in lieu of the completed degree.
bull; Knowledge of NISPOM (Chapter 8) and/or DCID 6/3-ICD 503 information system requirements
bull; Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
bull; Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and associated equipment
bull; Security+ certification required or able to be attained within first 6 months of onboarding
bull; US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 5 years)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
bull; Knowledge of Classified Environment Protocols
bull; Windows 2003, 2008 and 2012 experience
bull; Understanding of basic networking; Cisco experience
bull; Cross-platform experience (i.e., 3 or more: Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, etc.)
bull; Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment, use of PowerShell scripts
bull; Experience with C amp;A process
bull; General knowledge of storage technologies such as storage area network or network-attached storage
