Adaptive Optics Associates ndash; Xinetics (AOA Xinetics), a wholly-owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division Business Venture, is currently seeking an Industrial Security Analyst to support business activities in East Hartford CT.

AOA-Xinetics (AOX) designs, develops, and manufactures precision, advanced optical products and systems such as deformable mirrors, optical systems, adaptive optics control systems and silicon carbide optical structures for the U.S. Government, commercial customers, and U.S. defense prime and second-tier contractors. Markets for these technologies include civilian astronomy and semiconductor capital equipment as well as defense ISR and Directed Energy.

AOX delivers industrial photonics systems and development services for a variety of customers and applications. AOX excels in a range of applications from adaptive optical systems, deformable mirrors, wavefront sensors, precision actuators, to photonic systems that acquire and process data in real time for a variety of high availability applications. AOX rsquo;s capabilities include lightweight passive and active hybrid CERAFORM silicon carbide optics and precision structures as well as large and small precision opto-mechanical systems supporting electronics and sophisticated controls software.

Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Security, the Industrial Security Analyst will develop, maintain and administer industrial security programs that meet company and customer security requirements. The successful candidate will interface with all levels of company and government personnel to ensure contract security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs). This will include the preparation of manuals, outlining regulations, and establishing procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials. The Industrial Security Analyst will also conduct security education classes and assist in the preparation as well as conducting security audits; and investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities:

* Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment
* Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
* Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor rsquo;s access to restricted records and materials
* Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
* Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements
* Develop, review, coordinate, and execute Program Security and accreditation documentation to include Fixed Facility Checklist (FFCs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), Physical Security Assessments and Co-Utilization Agreements
* Utilize knowledge of government security policies, procedures, and regulations to include NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs); to establish procedures to protect, process, and control all classified material (hard copy and electronic media)
* Determine and develop approaches to risk-based and cost-effective security solutions while ensuring compliance to the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and amplifying sponsor security regulations and instructions
* Support Emergency Management and Crisis Management efforts (Team, Communications, Briefings) for the company
* Manage incoming/outgoing classified material
* Implement the management and training for SCI cleared employees commensurate to the level of classified program information they are accessing in support of special programs.
* Conduct Briefings (Program Level, COMSEC, Courier, OPSEC, Security Refresher, Emergency Management)
* Support the team as a Data Transfer Officer, as required
* Coordinate efforts with the Manager of Security, facility ISSM, other Industrial Security Analysts, and Information Systems, etc.
* Provide support to the AOX Security Department in East Hartford and Devens MA, as required
* Coordinate and deliver security support to a multi-faceted program and act as a liaison between project staff, security management, and program management to sustain security requirements
* Additional duties my require after hours support with escorting, managing alarm system, classified conferences and other visitor management, as needed

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of Industrial Security experience, or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience (e.g. military or professional intelligence community)
* Must have experience with administrative/operational security data analytics and mitigating security risks/threats
* Ability to work independently, strong communicator verbal/written skills, and outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
* Ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed
* Proficiency in MS Office applications
* US Citizenship is a requirement for employment
* Active Top Secret Clearance
* Active SCI Clearance
* Ability to obtain a CI Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

* Professional Industrial Security Certification (e.g. ISP, ISSO, ISSM)

Physical Requirements:

* Up to 10% travel may be required between facilities in East Hartford CT and Devens MA
* Sit or Stand for long periods of time
