The GBSD program is seeking a Guidance Computer Verification Lead. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman rsquo;s Space System team supporting the Air Force rsquo;s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, working as part of the Guidance Computer team. The Guidance Computer (GC) is a high reliability, radiation hardened flight controller for the GBSD Aerospace Vehicle (AVE). The GBSD Guidance Computer contains digital processing, digital I/O, and analog actuator/power I/O electronics functions.

This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

This position requires travel up to 50% of the time to El Segundo, CA through Q4 2021, and 10% travel thereafter.

What You rsquo;ll Get To Do:

The Guidance Computer System Verification Lead is responsible for developing the GC subsystem verification package. The GC System Verification Lead reports to the GC Architecture Lead and leads one or more Verification Engineers. Duties include planning and execution of subsystem requirements verification at the engineering model, qualification unit and production unit stages of hardware development. Additional duties include verification cross-reference matrix (VCRM) ledger creation and population, collaboration with other subsystem teams regarding specifications, end item data package compilation, and close coordination with test set development and hardware verification by test professionals.

This position rsquo;s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Experience managing requirements in a tool such as DOORS and developing equipment specifications and interface control documents (ICDs)
* Experience leading and collaborating with a small team of engineers toward a common objective
* Experience at electronic hardware design and verification management
* Work experience in one of the following disciplines: high-reliability computer or electronics design and related requirements; or guidance amp; control systems, inertial sensors, navigation systems or vehicle management systems
* Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) discipline with minimum of 14 years of experience, or MS in STEM plus 12 years of experience; or 9 years with a PhD.
* Active Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain SAP/SAR clearance

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

* Knowledge of MBSE with experience having implemented system architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, CORE, etc.
* Experience working in an Agile team or even leading a scrum team
* Understanding of vehicle management computer, guidance computer, mission computer, or onboard computer design and verification
* Prior experience populating a VCRM, End Item Data Package compilation for a Configured Item
* Understanding of the following specialty areas: nuclear surety, cybersecurity, flight safety
* Top Secret security clearance
