Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a GBSD Sr Principal Cyber Software Engineer. This requisition may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below. This position will be located in Roy,UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

What You rsquo;ll Get To Do:

Implement cybersecurity controls within the ground test system. Architect software tools to facilitate continuous testing and monitoring of cybersecurity controls. Update and maintain the test networks, test equipment and test systems with the latest cybersecurity patches and control methods. Work closely with program mission defense counterparts to assure compliance to regulations and standards. Implement best practices and creative solutions to integrate cyber testing alongside day-to-day activities.

Tasks include:

* Vulnerability assessment and threat mitigation testing
* Streamlining and improving processes and implementing reliable solutions
* Interfacing with cross-functional teams in a varied technology environment
* Secure networks, firewalls, intrusion detection, and penetration testing

This position rsquo;s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications

* 9 years of experience with a Bachelor 39;s; 7 years with a Master 39;s; 4 years with a PhD
* Active Secret Security Clearance awarded within the last 6 years; and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Ability to obtain DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, or CYSA+ within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
* Systems Administration experience, to include Windows, Linux, and VM environments
* ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
* Active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance
