Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Test Network Support Tech 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

What You rsquo;ll Get To Do:

Northrop Grumman System Test IPT is seeking a PC Network Support Technician for our facilities in Roy, Utah. The PC Network Support tech will provide tier 2 support for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. The selected candidate will be expected to deploy, refresh, troubleshoot, install, maintain, and perform all desk-side support services for employees at their assigned locations or to coordinate with the enterprise IT services as they support the standard enterprise offerings for the contract. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations working in a collaborative/team environment across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable with elevating accountability at all levels.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deploy, refresh, EOL and support PC hardware and approved peripherals on Sector supported classified networks for Microsoft Windows based systems
- Deploy and install new hardware/equipment on Classified and Unclassified Systems
- Install approved hardware and software
- Configure, troubleshoot and repair PC software and approved peripherals
- Troubleshoot PC network connectivity issues
- Support removal/installation of networking hardware
- Sanitize and surplus equipment for EOL
- Implement and troubleshoot interactions between multi-users computing systems and various desktop hardware or software
- Maintain images for classified areas to meet standards provided by Computer Security and the Customer
- Participate/facilitate software upgrades and new software/hardware insertion projects
- Support Proposal activities
- Support ad hoc program moves

This position rsquo;s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:

You rsquo;ll Bring These Qualifications:

bull; High School diploma with 4 years of IT support experience is required; or in lieu of experience, a relevant associate 39;s degree maybe used to substitute for 2 years of experience; or a relevant bachelor 39;s degree may be used to substitute for 4 years of experience
bull; Must have experience troubleshooting, installing, and configuring Desktops running Windows OS (including Windows 10), as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
bull; Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date
bull; Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
bull; Ability to work after hours and weekends; as needed
bull; Current DOD Secret clearance (or higher)
bull; Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
bull; Cyber security networking experience
bull; Bachelors of Science (or other technical degree) bull; CompTIA A+, Network+, Dell, HP, or other certifications helpful
bull; Experience with remote administration
bull; Experience with PowerShell scripting
bull; Experience with zero and/or thin client devices
bull; Experience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accounts
bull; Cross-platform experience (i.e. two or more of the following: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.)
bull; Experience supporting VMware VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
bull; Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
