Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Project Manager to join the team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force rsquo;s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
* Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
* Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
* Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
* Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
* Oversee and manage the operational aspects of new and ongoing projects to support program technical and non-technical requirements.
* Work side by side with Supplier Management Teams (SMT) to support the development of Statement of Work (SOW) and Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRL) packages in IBM Rationale DOORS software.
* Capture, track and manage prime and subcontract requirements and maintain 100% traceability of those requirements from the prime contract to the subcontract level.
* Interface with stakeholders to derive master contract requirements to support subcontract Request for Proposals (RFP).
* The ability to trace a master contract requirements to subordinate documents, ensuring compliance with the issued contract and specifications.
* Assess project issues and assist in developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification
You 39;ll bring these qualifications:
* A Bachelor 39;s degree and a minimum 6 years of related Project Management/related industry experience; or a Master 39;s degree and 4 years of experience
* A minimum 2 years of proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
* An Active Secret Security Clearance Adjudicated within the last 6 years
Preferred Qualifications:
* IBM Rationale DOORS software experience
* Aerospace Manufacturing and/or Aerospace Engineering knowledge
* Previous Project Management (or similar) knowledge/experience
* Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience, ability to utilize them professionally
* Practice in implementing Lean/Agile principles and methodologies
* Request for Proposal (RFP) Planning
* Working knowledge of the following:
* Developing Statement of Work (SOW) and Supplier Data Requirement List packages (SDRL).
* Developing, Implementing and Update Project Schedules
* High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
