Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for technology and architecture decisions in Information Risk Management (IRM), managing the overall technology portfolio, managing day to day execution of the Architecture Team, providing technology delivery leadership on all major programs, ensuring technology solutions deployed meet the needs of the business, enabling business agility while managing operational cost and complexity, governance of technology and product standards, ensuring alignment of technology direction to Enterprise, representing IRM on architectural boards/councils (CTO, Architecture Leadership Team) and growing capabilities of the architecture profession in IRM.

Job Description

Reporting Relationships: Reports to SVP, Chief Info Sec Officer. Leads a team of mostly H and G-band associates. Estimated team size is 5-10.

Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Delivery and Manage Technology Risk: Provides technology delivery leadership for key IRM programs and initiatives. Establishes the cybersecurity technology architecture and design in alignment with Enterprise cybersecurity strategy. Ensures effective staffing and alignment of architectural resources across cybersecurity's portfolio of products. Proactively manages technology risk with both the operational environment and new projects. Leads architecture reviews and health checks for large, complex projects and/or troubled systems.
Architecture Governance and Application Roadmaps: Represents the interest of IRM as a member of the Enterprise Architecture Leadership Team and Technology Standards Board and contributes to the establishment and governance of the technology direction, reference architectures, and product standards. Works closely with business unit technology organizations, Infrastructure and Operations, IRM, procurement, and other areas in evaluating technology and vendor alternatives and finalizing product standards for the enterprise. Enforces these standards appropriately for IRM projects and applications. Facilitates the development of application roadmaps for the transformation and evolution of the application portfolios. Drives enterprise architecture discipline.
Architecture Profession: Responsible for the vitality of the architecture profession across IRM - this includes effective management of defined processes for profession management including hire/promotion governance, performance calibration, and communities of practice.
Information Security: Responsible for the establishment of Information Security standards in collaboration with Information Risk Management. Responsible for identification and evaluation of new cybersecurity technologies and working with cybersecurity product owners on product selection, design and architecture.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related fields. Advanced studies (e.g. MBA, Masters in Engineering or Computer Science) a plus.

License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications in IT Architecture are helpful.

Experience: 15 or more years related experience in information systems with 5 or more years with senior IT leadership experience. 5+ years of experience with senior IT architecture or IT service management (Chief Architect, Enterprise Architect, CTO, etc.).

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication skills. Consensus building, influencing and facilitation skills. Ability to interface with top management. Strong SDLC and Service Management (IT Operations) methodology experience. Experience in cybersecurity disciplines including but not limited to, Data Protection, Cloud Security, Application Security, Network/Edge security, Identity and Access Management, and Threat and Incident Response.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring managers leader and HR Business Partner.
