Overview:

As Junior Copywriter, you will work within the Social Media team producing accurate, informative and trend-focused social media copy. Using the Macys style guide and tone of voice guide, youll ensure consistency across all of our owned content! This role will be responsible for the daily and weekly copy needs across all of our social media platforms. Looking for someone that thinks outside the box, loves the world of copy, and excels in a fast-moving, creative environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

* Master our brand voice and tone to create content pieces that drive consumer awareness and sales from Social Media.

* Apply storytelling to each project with a 360 approach, ensuring messaging is consistent across all communication channels.

* Partner with our marketing and design teams to write clear and compelling copy that builds the brand through tone, style, story and content for Macys Social Media Channels.

* Work with the Social team to concept messaging for promotions, new launches, brand partnerships and other marketing endeavors.

* Manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with others to meet deadlines.

* Edit and re-purpose content produced by other members of the marketing, social media, and/or fashion teams.

* Collaborate with internal and external creative teams.

* Make sure everything we publish is well written, organized and free of grammatical errors.

* Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

* Bachelors Degree required.

* 1-3 years of experience required, agency or fashion experienced preferred.

* Detail oriented and organized with an ability to manage multiple projects with ease.

* Conceptual skills that demonstrate the ability to craft everything from a great line of copy to a multi-faceted social campaign.

* A range in expressions in voice and tone (i.e. you know when to be funny, punny, or more buttoned up).

* Ability to ideate around data and strategic insights.

* Compellingly present creative concepts to and participate in creative discussions with clients.

Communication Skills:

* Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work with all levels.

Mathematical Skills:

* Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.

Reasoning Ability:

* Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions.

Physical Demands:

* This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.

* May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

* May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.

* Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

* May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.
