Central Carolina Hospital
The RN-Labor & Delivery will provide direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
1. Completes a focused patient assessment with reassessments
2. based on patients condition, procedures, medications given and treatments.
3. Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain
4. management techniques.
5. Performs patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and specific needs.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and the patients clinical condition. Follows the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors.
7. Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring
8. technical and manual skills.
9. Performs treatments and provides services to the level of licensure.
10. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes
11. patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.
12. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
13. Educates patient and family on disease process.
Job Requirements
Require Required Education:
Associates degree is required
Bachelors degree is preferred
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required (or compact state)
Required Certification:
American Heart Association BLS is required
Additional certifications are required by department
Other:
1 year of experience in a health care setting is preferred

Our Health Support Center
Our Health Support Center (HSC), in Brentwood, Tennessee, has subject matter expertise in every area of healthcare operations and provider services. The HSC is organized to bring resources to bear across the continuum of care, from before a patient accesses healthcare services to after they are sent home, while keeping quality and compliance at the center.
