Los Alamos Medical Center
This exempt manager position manages the daily operations for the Endoscopy Center and functions to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management, performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, and payroll. Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contract, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies, purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Assesses the quality of patient care deliverd and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physician and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary. Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth. Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols. Is expected to step into patient care assignments when necessary due to patient volume and staffing.
Job Requirements
Requires current NM state licensure or appropriate compact RN licensure. Must have current BLS and ACLS upon hire. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervisrion. Must be able to work in a stressful envrironment and take appropriate action.
Associates Degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2 years of previous supervisory experience preferred.

The HSC is organized to bring resources to bear across the continuum of care, from before a patient accesses healthcare services to after they are sent home, while keeping quality and compliance at the center.
