Parkview Regional Hospital

The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for total care of assigned clients in the respective unit. This nurse is responsible for the processes of Triage, assessment, reassessment, implementation of care, complete and accurate documentation of care, and evaluation of care. The nurse initiates health care training and education to the client/family as required while supporting and fostering the goals of Parkview Regional Hospital and the Department of Nursing. The Registered Nurse demonstrates awareness of ongoing needs of the unit and provides leadership and direction to other team members in maintaining optimal standards of nursing care. The position is accountable for the supervision of other licensed nursing personnel for assigned units. The position requires flexibility and scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Parkview Regional Hospital on all units. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care to all of the patient population with consideration of age-specificity and diagnosis.

Job Requirements

Associates Degree Nursing
BSN Preferred
Minimum 1 year RN experience preferred.

Must be licensed by Texas Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

Must obtain BLS and ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date.
Must obtain PALS and/or ENPC certification within 1 year of hire and maintain current certification thereafter.
Must obtain TNCC certification within 1 year of hire and maintain current certification thereafter.
Previous experience in acute critical care hospital setting preferred.
