Assists the department director in the day-to-day management of departmental operations and personnel management. The supervisor must be knowledgeable of, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, and will maintain the departmental policies and procedures in support of these standards and other organizational initiatives. Coordinates the laboratory Quality Control, Proficiency Testing and inventory programs.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree required in Laboratory Science or related field
Minimum Work Experience
3 years' supervisory experience
3 years' experience as a Medical Technologist
Required Skills
License: Registry required by AMT, ASCP, HEW, HHS or NCA
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
