Logan Memorial Hospital

This employee has the responsibility of maintaining and providing current nursing practice and skills. The employee is charged with the goal of continuous quality improvement and excellence in patient care.

The employee demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the services appropriate for the patient/family population being served. The employee also integrates the department's services with the hospital's primary functions.

The employee must utilize and implement the 5 Tier Color Coded Triage System when assessing patients and assigning them to the appropriate level.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate from school of nursing with associate degree in nursing, bachelors degree preferred. The nurse must possess a current RN licensure, ACLS, BLS. PALS certification preferred upon hire; required within one year of employment. One year experience as a registered nurse is required. Must possess and utilize critical thinking skills to identify emergency signs and symptoms. Communicate effectively both orally and in written form with all levels of internal and external customers of the department. Follow policy and procedures consistent with hospital, state and federal regulatory guidelines. Work in collaboration and support teamwork in inter and intradepartmental activities.
