Job Description
Initiates the design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research projects to fuel Intel's growth in the areas of computing, communication, technology and manufacturing, and new business opportunity. Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically 7+ years prior to landing on a product roadmap. Plans and executes laboratory research. Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and contributes to scientific literature and conferences. May participate in the development of the intellectual property. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts. Typically holds a Ph.D.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements A Ph.D. degree related to formal methods for software and/or hardware design and verification expected in the first half of 2021 or earlier. 4+ years of research experience in developing and/or using verification, or other validation techniques/tools for software and/or hardware. Preferred Qualifications: Experience and/or knowledge on: 1) Applying formal verification techniques to industrial-scale problems. 2) Computer architecture, system architecture, and compiler design. 3) Research domain-specific applications such as machine learning, security, etc.
