The Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Platform SI/PI and Packaging Technology Team delivers both FPGA package from design to tape-out and electrical solutions from silicon package to board

We are looking for a senior level Signal Integrity / Power Integrity Engineer to join our team. As a SI/PI Engineer you will be working with a dynamic team of silicon, package and platform design engineers to develop the traditional and synergy FPGA products. In this role you will be responsible for

* Performing package and system level SIPI analysis and provide layout optimization recommendation

* Signal/power integrity of all level interconnects covering silicon, package and PCB

* SI and PI modeling, simulation, and characterization

* Correlation of simulation to measurement

* Pre and post layout analysis, development of interface topologies and design guidelines

* Link budget break down of noise and jitter through system co-design

* Working with field and EV team to debug and improve product quality

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

* 5+ years of experience in SI/PI

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with 3D/2D modeling and simulation

* Experience with simulation tools such as HFSS and ADS

* Experience with electromagnetic and transmission line theory

* Experience with simulation tools such as HSPICE, Power SI and Power DC is a plus

* Experience with physical layout tools such as Cadence Allegro/APD, Mentor Xpedition is a plus

* Familiarity with lab equipment, such as: VNA, TDR, real-time scope, spectrum analyzer is a plus
