We are looking for motivated engineers to join a world class power and performance team for Intel's post silicon validation engineering group. This organization pushes SoCs to deliver cutting edge performance in Machine Learning/AI, high performance computing and other emerging data science workloads. Candidates will need to understand targets, validate performance against key performance indicators, characterize power consumption and drive systematic debug of failures. We seek engineers that are creative and can improve upon existing methodology to get a deeper understanding of the system and software.

Job Description:
Understand SoC architecture and product requirements
Use and apply platform level tools and techniques to ensure power, thermal, and performance are to specification
Perform performance bottleneck analysis using EMON or performance counter monitors
Code experiments for debug and root cause analysis
Participate in technical discussions and collaborate with hardware teams to share findings

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related.

1+ years of work experience or knowledge in the below areas:
- Power and thermal knowledge: dynamic and static power, cdyn, VF-curves, temperature
- Python or perl scripting for content development and automation of flows
- Understanding of one or more of the following architectures: CPU, clocking, PCIE, coherency, memory controllers
- Initiative and problem solving skills
- Good teamwork and willingness to work within a diverse team environment
